Spam bots have been breezing through the captcha questions on my forum like it's nothing, and for a moment, I actually thought they were finding a way to skip the whole process. Turns out, they just can't sign up if we feed them a wrong answer on purpose.
The thing is, my forum's is not in englisch, and so are the captcha questions. I'm not using the typical math problems, color questions, or anything that's a simple Google search away. I even tried copying a trick from the phpBB community where users have to dig through the forum rules to find the answer, copying a section title verbatim. But, believe it or not, the bots cracked that in no time. I've even gotten creative, using themes from the forum to create puzzles based on the initials of certain topics or characters without mentioning them outright.
I'm starting to wonder if these bots are using some kind of AI because it's getting pretty frustrating. Any advice or tips for a solid Q&A captcha that could keep these pesky bots at bay would be a lifesaver.
