I am in! Seems sorted. Admin access achieved. It appears that the username and password were not what they should have been.

I am hugely grateful to you for your time, patience and speed of response on this. It makes the whole PhpBB experience so much more rewarding. I am learning all the time thanks to you and your colleagues expertise.
