I have created a website for my vintage car club, which is socrc.org. The members, which are older, have agreed it would be nice to have a members-only discussion forum.
It would be extremely helpful for me if the members could automatically upload to such forum -- without having to access to the ACP or needing a third-party file host -- such file types as PDFs or Excel spreadsheets to feature such things as the club's newsletters, flyers to car shows or the inventory of our club's merch.
Would such files need to be first converted to image files before uploading? Is there an option on the newer phpbb versions to allow this absent installation of any extensions?
